A magical tale which is a legendary Disney's classic, is brought to life as the brand new Broadway musical ALADDIN at the Prince Edward Theatre will sweep you into a world full of fantasy and fun all in one breathtaking spectacle that will be over before you know it.
Brought to life by the director of The Lion King, featuring all the songs from the Academy Award-winning score, together with new music written for this production.
An extraordinary creative team is led by director and choreographer, Casey Nicholaw (The Book of Mormon). Music is by Alan Menken (Beauty and the Beast) with lyrics from Howard Ashman (Beauty and the Beast), Tim Rice (The Lion King) and Chad Beguelin (Elf), who also wrote the book.
The lead roles of Aladdin and Jasmine will be taken by rising British stars Dean John-Wilson (Here Lies Love) and Jade Ewen (In the Heights). Broadway’s Trevor Dion Nicholas will make his London stage debut as the Genie.
Dean and Jade will be joined by Don Gallagher as Jafar, Peter Howe as Iago, Irvine Iqbal as the Sultan, Nathan Amzi as Babkak, Stephen Rahman-Hughes as Kassim and Rachid Sabitri as Omar. As previously announced, Broadway cast member Trevor Dion Nicholas will make his London stage debut as Genie.
With stunning sets from multi-award-winning designer Bob Crowley and over 350 beautiful costumes from Gregg Barnes (Kinky Boots), Aladdin The Musical UK is an unmissable event in London theatre.
