Tower Bridge

The historic Tower Bridge makes a great background picture for your selfies that can be taken standing on the Bridge. Besides walking on the breathtaking glass walkway on the top level of the bridge (check for opening times and tickets prices, in the overview tab), the tour inside the Tower allows you to view the engine rooms and to visit the Tower Bridge Shop, which sells books, homewares, toys and games, apparel, food and gifts. Surrounding the area are several food shops, restaurants, gift shops and so on. These shops are mostly seasonal and are installed at specific times during the year to match the season. London’s most famous food market, Borough market, and The Shard skyscraper are just a ten-minute walk away.

• Facts about Tower Bridge: It was built in 1894 and is 140 feet tall. Many tourists usually mistake it for the London Bridge and ironically an American businessman bought the old London Bridge thinking it was the Tower of London.
